mission trip = success? this can be debated. in some ways, it was a huge success (by means of getting jobs done and working together) and in others it can be considered a failure, like making it the whole week without tension amound us youth. theres some stuff i found out about that didnt make me happy. i had heard that some of the girls were talking behind the guys backs about them, and saying some pretty bad stuff about me and a couple other guys. whether or not this is actually true, i dont know. but i believe that the girls are better people than that, and wouldnt talk about some of the guys like that behind their backs. i'll admit i had some tension at times, though i feel that it was resolved.
I will admit, my faith at the start of the trip was in question. i often pondered the existence of a God, and as the week went on, with all the friendly support, the work, and EVEN the tensions, i found my faith. everytime there was tension, and it was resolved, i feel a friendship grew.
Lets thank the advisors and Teresa for being with us on the trip. and keep Emily in our prayers as she goes to England. lets hope the terror attacks stop for at least the time that shes there. preferably forever.
Marlo - if you somehow read this (not sure if you do or not) you're one of the two or three people that i wanted to get re-aquainted with, and i feel that it happened. :-)
Emily - you're also someone i really wanted to get to know better, and though it didnt happen during the week, i believe we've become better friends on the ride home today.
Megan - you're a great person, i know you well, and i could tell you enjoyed yourself on this trip.
Zang - zang bang. enough said. ;-)
Katie - dont know you all that well, but i could tell you also had fun, and got to know a lot of the girls very well.
Shipman - you supported me on those nights that i found out my mom would be held in the hospital for another day or two. i appreciate that.
Kay & Molly - we havent really spoken for a long time, but i still consider you good friends and great people, and i know we became closer again on the trip.
Kevin - god i dont know where to start.... heh. you're a great guy man.
Kellen - you're a great guy to talk to, you became like a brother to me, and though we've known each other for a long time, we still became closer.
Tyler - you had some good farts man.
Ryan - great time getting to know you. good luck with your senior year man
Alyssa - you, like kaitlin, were with me when i found out about my mom being in for another day or two. i appreciate that and we ARE going to nip n tuck at some point. (with Marlo of course)
Matthews - had a good time with you on the trip.
John - i could tell you had a great time, and you probably got the most out of this trip of all of us. you worked hard, and didnt give up on the job. im looking forward to working with you again next year.
Casey - you had some fun as well, and on your first trip. i hope you got to know people well.
Claire (my apologies if i didnt spell your name with many spellings correctly) - didnt get to know you too well, but you seem to have had some good fun on the trip. im looking forward to seeing you at STAGE in the fall.
